At Petaluma Post-Acute Rehab, we provide personalized therapy services to help your loved one reach his or her highest potential of ability and independence. When a new patient is admitted to our nursing facility, he or she meets with our rehab director to discuss a customized therapy plan. That plan will include one or more of the following services:
Physical Therapy
The physical therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery from physical impairments, pain resolution, and injury prevention. Each facility has a full-service gym and a smaller arena used for training.
Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery of functional independence, which includes skills for eating, bathing, toileting, cooking, dressing, and grooming.
Speech Therapy
For those affected by stroke, brain injury, dementia, and other neurological disorders, the speech therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery of speech, comprehension, chewing and swallowing abilities, and cognitive language skills.
